We answer enquiries within one working day. If you would rather we replied in writing, say so and we will only use email.

Where to Find Us

If you arrive early, the bakery downstairs does a decent coffee. The building entrance is to the left of the shopfront, and there is parking at the rear. If you are coming by bus, the Takapuna interchange is a two-minute walk.

There is a lift. If stairs are a problem, tell us when you book and we will meet you downstairs.

Before Your First Meeting

What It Costs

The first meeting is 45 minutes for $150 plus GST. You will leave knowing where you stand and what the likely path looks like, whether or not you decide to instruct us.

What to Bring

Anything already in writing: court documents, letters from the other side, any previous agreement, or a rough list of what you own and owe. If you have none of that, come anyway.

How Long It Takes

Most people are seen within a week. If a matter is urgent, say so when you ring and we will find a time sooner than that.

If You Are Not Safe

If you or your children are in immediate danger, ring 111.

Women’s Refuge is on 0800 733 843 and Shine is on 0508 744 633. They are open all hours, and neither of them will ask you to have made a decision first.

We can apply for a Protection Order without notice, which means it can be made before the other party is told. Ring us once you are somewhere safe.
